Looking for a little feedback on what yall think is Spyderco's best small-med sized folder, i.e. Calypso Jr,Delica, Native, Dragonfly,etc...I seem to have become a fan of their smaller clipits as of late and have aquired a Delica and Calypso Jr, although the Calypso Jr has become my own personal fave for daily carry.

i've never handled a dragonfly, so i won't comment on it. i don't like the delica myself, but that's just my preference. don't like the grip. i got a calypso jr. micarta about 3 weeks ago and have carried it ever since. great feel, good steel, excellent grind, good blade shape. overall, i am very impressed. but not as much as with the native. i got one of them about 8 months ago and have carried it almost everyday since. i can't recommend a knife more than that. i have a rather quickly rotating carry set, but the native has been there for quite a while. i love the grip, the blade shape and reversible clip. the hollow grind is good since it is a very high hollow grind and the steel isn't too bad either. if you look down a little on this forum, you'll see that next year the native will have 440V steel. if you like it though get a gin-1 as well. you can abuse that model and pamper your 440v as well. i plan to get one of those as soon as they come out and am getting a BF native in a trade within a week, so i'm a definite fan of it. i like the native better, but the calypso is more elegant. i have both, that might be your solution.

As I type this response, I have a zytel dragonfly in my pocket. It is my favourite small spydie. When open it fits the hand well, is light and unnoticeable in a pants pocket. A tad difficult to open one handed but the blade is long enough to open boxes, cut string and so on. The AUS8 is also sharp enough to dissect frogs and piggies. The delica has the same kind od steel and handle and is just a touch bigger and slightly better steel. Also a favourite of mine.

My favorite would have to be the Dragonfly. The zytel handled lightweight is always with me. The AUS-8 takes a wicked sharp edge and holds it pretty well. The ergonomics are perfect - at least for me - and the knife acts and feels like it's much, much bigger.

I use it for everything from carving wood to peeling & de-veinng shrimp to opening boxes and letters.

When I first saw it It didnt really take with me, but I traded a SS Native for it and I've never looked back. Do yourself a favor and try one...Its one neat knife(s).

I prefer the stainless Dragonfly, followed by the D'Holder Toad.
The Pegasus and Navigator are also fine little knives.

My favorite is the Calypso Jr. The Native fits my hand a little better but I like the hole placement and blade shape of the Calypso Jr.

My favorite 3" utility knife would be the ambidexterous Calypso Jr. LTWT (2 oz.) w/ the PLAIN, VG-10 blade. The other neat little Spyderco which I recently picked up and carry around at work is the black Cricket w/ the small little serrated blade: this is the best little box opener, and corrugated cardboard cutter (you pinch it between your thumb and the side of your pointing finger).

The Dragonfly should be nice as well - I keep forgetting to order it.

The Native has been my favorite mid size Spyderco (to me a small knife is one under 6" OAL), however, now that I have a Calypso jr. Lightweight the Native will have to share the spotlight. As for really small knives, the Dragonfly in carbon fiber is wonderful as is the mini Dyad. The Ladybug, in either sheepsfoot or clip point are capable of doing much more work than their small size might indicate at first.

I would recommend the Calypso Jr. Lightweight. It is an excellent value and a great knife. The VG-10 steel is the best I have ever used in a small inexpensive folder.

Well, since I don't have a Calypso Jr. to judge by, I'll have to say: Almite Walker, CF Dragonfly, and G-10 Navigator. Order is mood dependent.
