If you are looking for a little tiny folding knife another one to look at is the S.O.G. micron 1.5 inch blade slipjoint with half stop. I picked up one today at a local knife shop just for laughs, but it is a real nice little thing. Weighs in at .4 oz. All stainless with black coating.

So cute. The mugger would never see it before I put it through his eye.

So, when is the review?

How does it do cutting 3/8 inch manila rope? Linear inches of cardboard cut? How is the handle in various grips? Batoning through wood?

Where's the beef ;) ?

Ok it cuts through standard heavy spun yarn in one swipe (free hanging)
I cut a thick cereal box 36 times with out any problems.
And lastly I battened it through 6 tooth picks with out much problem.:D

I never heard of that knife until now (Although that doesn't really mean anything). I looked it up & msrp is only $18, so what can it be picked up for? Also, the specs show it at about 2" closed. Man, can you fully fit 2 fingers on it? That's almost too small or would make a great keychain knife. I carry an orange Ladybug in my pocket, but that Micron's even smaller than that, & it sure is light at less than 1/2 oz.

I can fit two fingers on it. I paid $10.00 for it. I picked it up to mess with my wife who says "Don't you carry anything I can borrow that won't cut off my arm!"

That is Cool. I just found one online and nabbed it for $12.00 w/shipping. I have used a Micro sized knife on and off for many years. They are great for day to day light duties. Heres a photo of a Browning I have used since the 80's

that's pretty nice, and I like SOG but for that size why not just get a SAK, more stuff in it with the blade.

but thx for showing us, more people will try it out ;)

After reading this thread this AM just HAD to get one at my local store - $12.95.
It's a cutey !! Sharp out of the box, only about 1/8" thick.

I've tried to find detailed specs, but most just say the blade is "stainless steel".
I found one site that claims it's ATS34 and two that say "420". I'd think that if
it were ATS34, SOG would be boasting of that, but the SOG sites just say "stainless".

Anyone know for sure what the blade steel is?
Not a big deal, just curious.

It's a key-chain-keeper. :)

Was looking at that recently on CTD's site. Still considering it. My AGR UPK and Vic Classic could use another little friend. :)

Moondrop, when you get it, let me know how it compares to the AGR Ultimate Pen Knife...
been "needing" one of those for a while.

According to the SOG site it is 420 - doesn't say whether it's 420HC or
420J2. Not that it really matters all that much on a keychain style knife that generally is used for light cutting chores. Cool little knife.

That's worth having just for the novelty value. If it's effective for anything more than opening letters, it's a real coup. Congrats!

I'd get one if it wasn't ugly as sin. The lettering ruins it imo.

I find SOG knives in general not very attractive, and the way they keep incorporating their name into the knife parts is just lame.
