Little tiny knife!

SOG has worked its way out of my list of knifemakers I respect and admire. I have a few SOG fixed blades made decades ago which will always be near and dear to me, but will in all likelihood never buy another.

Moondrop, when you get it, let me know how it compares to the AGR Ultimate Pen Knife...
been "needing" one of those for a while.

Will do. Just gotta find a place that doesn't charge (almost) as much for shipping as it does for the knife itself. :)

If the tiny one is unattractive, these will be down right hideous:

The only upside is that there's no built-in LED to light up the neon blue lettering.:)

I really like SOG knives but haven't bought one in a while.
Yeah the "SOG" lazer cutouts are kind of off-putting.
I don't mind some "tasteful" branding but SOG does go overboard a little, to the point of garishness in some cases.

Some of their knives that aren't festooned with logos are still pretty sweet.
I've been really wanting to try out the SOG Tomcat 3.
I love my old first Gen Tomcat!

The only moderately attractive SOG knives that I have found are the Twiches and the Trident series. Both AUS-8A I believe. Generally reasonably priced.

Gerber LST Micro for me - with lock. Fortunately I don' need to baton my mail or roses

I have a SOG Fusion that I received for free with an order from Knifecenter. At first, I didn't care much for it, but I put it on my keychain anyway. Since then, it has come in handy a couple of times and I like it more each time.

This past week, it was humid and rainy. I work outside and carry a Spyderco Delica in ZDP189. When I took a good look at it yesterday, I saw some rust stains! Some vigorous rubbing with CLP on a paper towel removed them. Then, I thought about the little SOG Fusion folder that was in my wet and sweaty pocket. I figured it would be really badly rusted.

Guess what? Not so much as a speckle. :-)

I also have a Spyderco Byrd Finch knife. It is a very capable little tool, but it's kind of thick for me to want it on my keychain. I think it's a better knife than the Fusion, but the Fusion doesn't take up much more space than a key.

Stay sharp,
desmobob

Yeah, I think I've seen those. Don't they keep them in goldfish bowls at the cash register? Something like twelve for a dollar? They're cute. Still, if a cop decides to search you and asks if you have a knife, it will be a no-win situation no matter how you respond. If you say no, a cop might ask, "What's this?" And if you say yes, he and his partner are liable to fall on the ground laughing.

I'll bet you could get that through your carry on luggage, no?
