Little Yosemite Hike

Well it looks like my wife and I weren't the only ones to take a Mother's day hike. Well here's another thread full of pics for ya...

We went to the Sunol Regional Wilderness, for a 3 hour hike. First thing out of the truck we were greeted by a ground squirrel and a lizard.

Wore us out but we had tons of fun, it was our first time there and it was a beautiful hike.

This is the hardware that accompanied us, the 510 made an encore appearence this hike due to my rehandle drying after getting finished recently, and my wifes Leatherman Juice also went along:

Great pics. I grew up in fremont and i remember that area pretty well, mostly mountain bike trips. Thanks for posting them.

The scenery beautiful, the turtles, great, the Mrs., appropriate (being Mother's Day and all), BUT WHAT ABOUT THE KNIVES? GOOD GOD,MAN, THE KNIVES!!

Just kidding, looks like you had a great time. Sure beat what I was doing (2006 Income Tax :( [how come there's no crying emoticons?])

Hey Stingray,

We must live pretty close to each other.

Sunol has some great hikes as well as San Ramon and the Danville area if you know where to go. It looks like you had fun.

Thanks everyone for the comments, glad that you enjoyed them. The weather was beautiful, the water clear, and the butterflies cooperative. Now that I've found this spot, I can't wait to go back. Only downside is the amount of people, but if you get off the beaten path they seem to just disappear... lol.

So they are! I don't know what happened, but I didn't see them yesterday. Maybe too many #'s bouncing around in front of my eyes or maybe I was looking over my shoulder for the taxman, too much.

Your choice is just fine.

Looked a great hike there bro, great scenery and plenty of wildlife....what more could you ask for !!!
