Live Bird Trap

Hey coaldigger, the guy that did the video is a regular on here - Pict.

If you're saying it's an excellent trap, I agree. In fact I consider it one of the neatest things I've learned on this forum.
 
Yep, I've chatted with pict on some machete questions. & Yes I thinks a very simple but effective looking trap, I can't wait to give it a try !
 
Pict is a member of a lot of the forums I'm on, wilderness related or not. He always has valuable information to add.

The arapuca works very well and can be used for more than just bird traps. I made one out of larger (and therefore heavier) branches and caught a squirrel in it fairly easily. Just a little peanut butter as bait.
 
the trap is great I've caught sparrows, starlings pidgeons, (all released) and a squirrel who released himself using that trap
 
picts video's are really cool...:thumbup: i love those bird traps.. i have never made one before, i need to give one a try..
