Live Interview at Ferrum Forge on KnifeTV....

I'm sure there can be many technological improvements but the main thing was its interesting. The interview was able to hold my attention the whole time, which was almost 30 mins. That is not an easy thing to do. A great job to both STeven and the Williamson brothers.

I just watched the Bob Loveless interview and it was perfect.
I have had all I can absorb now Ferrum Forge tomorrow.
Knife TV is a great idea IMO.

Thanks....Knife TV was Adam's idea....10 years ago.

What we are trying to do is increase understanding of what goes into knives, and give the people who make them a platform to talk about it.

I had met with the Williamson brothers probably 6 times before we shot the video...the are cool, real and very creative....and hopefully that came out in the interview.

We are committed to making a better product....I'll continue to try and make it interesting, fast paced and informative.

Adam has committed to making the production values as good as they can be with this platform. We will be posting videos from other sources on Knife TV, we will be creating content of a type that has never been seen before for and from this community.

I watched the Williams brothers, your loveless and was very intrigued to see Julie Warenski as I'm a big fan of her and Buster's work. I know the later two were older so I won't comment on those but I will say I agree with the other folks on the iphone video, which it sounds like you guys are addressing.

If you are targeting a more broad audience than just us makers and those obsessed with custom knives I would like to see some time lapse video of say a blank being ground out, especially those that are more complicated like a compound grinds or something with a clip or false edge. I think these would be great with voiceover of the maker or smith describing his technique. Maybe fade from you and the maker talking to him grinding with progression shots while the conversation continues. I would definitely say doing the same for some more complex damascus like multi bar or mosaic. And add anything that will throw some sparks or hammers hot metal. Some brief shop tours with a few deep dives on the bigger tools and what they are utilized for. This type of thing is why I think the show How its Made has such a broad appeal.

As a budding smith I found the videos of Trollsky to be on the light end of technical details but the production quality is really good and it shows in the number of views he gets. Might check a few out if you haven't seen them, I've come to have a great deal of respect for his ability to draw viewers who are not knife makers in any way.

Keep it up, I'm looking forward to more.

Clint, if you watched all of the Ferrum Forge video, you understand that the parts of the knife come to their shop from an aerospace-level machine shop....there is no grinding on a blank other than the edge.....but will consider it for other makers/shops....we don't know who our audience will be, but we are confident that they will find us....and feedback will keep us on our toes!

I'm only trying to be....ME......the guy with 30 years of experience in the cutlery industry.....eventually, we will go to production shops, the biggest, most diverse shops.....and do what we do....the reason that those shops don't have independently produced video out is because NOBODY with serious industry experience has asked them to do video yet....keep watching!!!
