This is a Recon Combat Machete, got it from Newt at a show years ago. Never used or carried, I may have sharpened it, I don’t really remember. This is the condition I got it in from Newt, and it’s sat ever since. If you’re familiar with Livesay’s knives, they are made to be used, no pretty finish here. The spine is nicely radiused, and the micarta handle is finished well. I believe all of these were 1095 steel. Blade length: 12" Handle Length: 5 3/4" Thickness is approx. 3/16” at the spine, full flat grind. Kydex sheath has strong belt loop, and great retention.

The blade finish is marked up from the kydex sheath, and even though it looks like rust spotting on the blade, it is not, it is just spots in the coating from being worn on the kydex. As mentioned, Newt finished these with a view to being used. I don't want to sound negative, just want to be clear the knife is what I would consider "field grade." There is some staining on the edge, you can see it in the photos. It will probably sharpen out, I just didn’t bother. The white marking on the back of the sheath is where he wrote Livesay with a marker. I have tried to capture everything in photos, if you have any questions, fire away. I would rate this one as a 7 or 8 as a user, cosmetically. Functionally, it’s in great shape, and ready to go.

$395.00 + $15.00 shipping (Priority with insurance, US only) Paypal or MO accepted, I reserve the right to choose who I sell to.
