OK so here we go.....

First off I'd like to say it is my pleasure to offer custom knives here on Bladeforums.
Lately the custom slipjoints are only a few, sorry to report. But I am proud to say, that I am a dealer here, possibly the only one, that shows full disclosure pictures ,most all angles. With slipjoints, both sides open, closed, the back spring, and the "trough" or on multiple bladers, the "nesting" shot, and then one in hand witch will show the size in hand, and most times I can get blade / steel finishes in that shot. Please if you would, direct me to another dealer here who shows photo's like this,I'd like to see,so I am aware if I missed it.

Now about John Lloyd,if you do not know. A great guy, very honest & generous. He is a part time maker in his retirement, making knives for enjoyment mostly. He is very family oriented. I know,John would rather make you a knife at his skill level, without "pressure" of perfection. He wants you to carry and use one of his pocketknives. He offers them at generous prices in this day and age, hopefully leaving you with some money for gas ,or life. Not perfect knives here, but please ,if you would, direct me to others on the internet with these features/materials,in thge price range,I'd like to see,so I am aware.

Both knives in this thread ,prices are delivered Con US with Paypal fee's included,as well

Elephant Ivory trapper now Sold,Mammoth is still avail Now $225.

That is less than a micarta shadow from other slipjoint makers

The next two posts will have the spec's/descriptions & pictures Thanks All,-Vince

4.25" closed,7-7/8" open
Blade is 3-5/8" with a 3.25" cutting edge

CPM 154 CM ss blade & spring

SS bolster,mill relived liners
crescent pull,medium firm action,nice walk n talk
Mark side, ivory has a pin check on the spring pin
obverse side, there is a check on the butt pin

Keep in mind people, when we talk about handmade slipjoints, the scales are glued as well as pinned, with 2 ton plus strength epoxy, not glue. This is unlike, vintage knives and many modern production knives.
Natural scales,on modern custom handmade slipjoints, when they pull or warp,if they do,will cause mechanical problems to the knife,in some cases, because of the strength of the bond,of that epoxy. Liner gaps, action problems, etc . Ask any knife maker. So I doubt small checks like this will impede function here, they're strictly cosmetic.

Full figured Ivory....

Thanks Big Al Both Ivory trappers Sold

I agree, and will add,I currently have this and two other John Lloyd folders listed on my website.
One is a knife just like the elephant ivory trapper with real nice ,old, rare & unique micarta that looks like ivory,I've never seen any other quite like it,knife is really nice overall , and, the other , a small jack with "una del gato" wood , witch is a very very durable ironwood type wood from the Baja region of Mexico , again , another very ,very nice folder ,at a very reasonable price

Here is the jack :
