Just purchased this one from John Lloyd from his latest run of Lannys and while it is absolutely gorgeous and perfect, I can't seem to grow the huevos to carry it! I should have stuck with my tride and true smooth bone rather than springing for the ivory because I'm scared to put this one in my pocket and use it at work for fear of damaging such gorgeous scales. Passing this along for what I paid direct from John at $475.
Blade is just slightly off center but does not rub liners. Flush in all 3 positions. Pull is a strong 8 in my opinion but it can be pinched and the walk and talk is fantastic. There was an "inclusion" crack in the ivory that is stable and adds good character to the pile side. John is a stand up guy and has assured me that if this ever moves he will repair it. The crack does not go all the way through the scale and is not at a pin. Just an inclusion in the ivory.
Please excuse the edited pictures. Was trying to tweak the colors to get the true color of the ivory and it exaggerated everything behind the knife. The mark side is very consistent with a tight grain on the ivory that will show more character with use and age. The pile side is a more pronounced grain and will be absolutely gorgeous! Grinds are perfect and size is true to the original Bose design. 3 7/8" closed and just under 3 1/4" from bolster to tip of the blade. Really an awesome knife, just the wrong scales for me personally...
