Hope you all are having safe ,summer time fun these days. With the opening of a friend's micro brewery on the corner of my road & in walking distance , It'll be both happy & sad around here for the rest of the summer days
This knife by John could be yours. Condition is ,on active civilian duty ,riding in my pocket. The action on this knife is a perfect 5+ to 6 or how ever you interpret that. In my opinion & experience,it is as good ,if not better, than any gazillion dollar custom lip joint. It is light, thin, with mammoth covers that'll rock your socks off, unique color & character. Blade steel > I think it is 52100 carbon & if it is,the spring would be like steel, but HT'd to a different Rc of course. Blade centers, totally pinchable. Spring is flush, walk n talk is off the charts. The grind is so fine, thin, perfect & razor like it's mind blowing. The swedge is freaking perfect, then somehow on the swedge John got a little grind mark in there. John do you remember doing that ? Who cares,at $275. all year round these mammoth folders by John are like 50% lower than others . John's medium grade mammoth is like other's best. Please excuse me for being boastful, but I'm just turning the lights on here.
Ships with a storage case
Shipping,in the States,Paypal fee's all included $275. Feel free to haggle me but I doubt you'll get too far.
Thank's everyone for putting up with my short comings on this forum.
>>I guess no one wants it ?
Here is this knife ,and the sheep foot,in a swayback frame ,is of the "rope" blade type. The blade gets wider from the tang area as you go out to the tip.
3-7/8" closed, blade is 3-1/8" with 2-7/8" of cutting edge. Opened up = 7". I think in the closed position picture, shield side, you can see the small mark on the swedge, cosmetic flaw,it still drives just as fast though
I have a scratch n dent Lloyd folder on my work bench & I sent it to a life of hard, hard torturous use, abuse. It cuts great, holds up like a champ with no complaints.
On my site all Lloyd folders are 10% off. There are a few threads in this sub forum with other knives by John that came back from the Blade show. Some bone shadows,a big stag, another mammoth,a stag folder with a modified warncliffe. If you can't find those pop me a message & I'll direct you to those. Oh,one other thing,I think the mahogany swayback on the site is spoken for,I'll update that asap , upon hearing back from the gentleman who expressed interest.
