The M1 is among my favorite knives, but unfortunately I can't justify having both the 2012 and 2013 models right now, as something has come up. I received this on Thursday, and carried it once. I disassembled it and cleaned/lubed it, but I have have not used it. Believe me, you will thank me for doing that because this thing was loaded with loctite! Aesthetically it is 99% perfect, the cheap black paint on the reverse side of the pivot is already chipping off. Other than that, you cannot tell it isn't BNIB.
Lockup is rock solid and early, with an easy release. Fox Knives really knows how to do a framelock because the lockup is identical to my 2012 model, which hasn't budged an inch. The 2013 model has the new locking pivot, which when loctited is definitely not going to loosen up. The detent has also been improved, as it has great blade retention but breaks away easily when opened, allowing for super quick openings. This thing rockets out with the thumbstuds, but the flipper/guard takes some learning to be able to use. The pocket clip's retention has been improved over last years as well. Finally, there is the new Coyote Brown G10 scale, which is pretty coarse. If you would prefer less aggressively textured black G10, I should be able to swap scales from my 2012 model. Centering is not perfect, but that seems to be common. I have not tried to fix it yet. Factory edge is once again very well done and one of the sharpest I've seen out of the box.
I am asking $175 SOLD shipped for this one. Feel free to email me with any questions!
