Alright guys, I bought this set-up based on my friends recommendation. He raved about it, in fact he has produced some amazing looking and performing edges with his. So I get it, and I sharpened my Steak knives with it. That’s it, 6 knives only. Heck, I only used the 500 and 1000 grit stones. The 4000 and 8000 grit stones are unused. Needless to say, it’s nice, but it’s not for me. I can’t get the hang of it. After 30 years of using bench stones, I’m sticking to them, although, with the proceeds, I intend on buying some Shapton bench stones. They are very impressive.
