Loading Up On Cold Steel CTS-XHP?

American Lawman CTS-XHP after seeing the Cedric and Ada review. I've done nothing with it but close and open, testing my thumb strength and loving the bank vault sound :D.

I bought my American Lawman CTS-XHP after seeing the Cedric and Ada review too! CTS-XHP sounds too good to be true. I love it!

I snagged a Recon clip point from a third party on Amazon when I saw they were going away from XHP. I’m far from a steel expert, I just like having something different as it seems S35v is the most common in my collection.

I picked up a Recon 1 in XHP. I really like it, but I like S35VN too, and I really can't tell the difference in use.
Same here. I have Recon 1 knives in both steels and can’t tell the difference in use.

I would buy XHP over S35VN if I had to pick but only because CTS-XHP is perceived to be a better steel. Not stocking up though...

I never heard of CTS-XHP until I bough an American Lawman in it - made a believer out of me! Since then I've acquired a couple other CS knives in that steel. It seems as though everyone wants the latest - maybe not the greatest, but the latest. Then, a manufacturer discontinues a certain steel, and it's like yesterday's newspaper in the bottom of the bird cage ??????

I don't have any cold steel knives. But I got two smaller Spydercos with xhp. It's great steel. S30v and s35vn seems to be standard accross the industry now. Must be due to good price they get on it.

Spyderco seems to be biggest production maker using it.

Just bought another one! :D This time a Cold Steel CTS-XHP Code 4 Clip Point. Now I have 4 CS CTS-XHP knives and I think I'll add another one next month.

But I'm not saying where they are in stock! :p
