Loaning your knife.

Claus,

This is funnier than you realize - a "joint" is slang for a marijuana cigarette. :) What did you really mean?

Matthew,

long ago I learned to call a big, brown, roasted piece of meat "joint". Of course I know the double meaning of joint. Like the one of "dealer": Sometimes a dealer deales with joints and is no butcher, and sometimes a dealer is a honourable man who deales with blades.

ooh 1st post for me here, wish me luck:)

well, i too am of the opinion that mostly non-knife ppl are not to be trusted with knives, especially my knives.

lent this woman my sog power plier once(only knife on me at the time) so she could slice a lemon, she was warned about 'sharp' and 'careful'. well she sliced her finger pretty badly, swore very loudly and threw my sog across a very large tent - with the blade still open ffs!! she was quite a bit older than me but that incident meant i treated her like a (young)child from then on, some ppl eh?

so now i mostly say no, although a friend of mine(who can be trusted) did get to borrow my bm griptilian less than 2 hrs ago, quite impressed he was too.

they always get asked "what for" before a decision is made. sometimes the laughing on my part is a givaway for the "er..no" that's about to follow.

:) Thanks Claus - I probably should have said, "This may be funnier than you realize." Bad form on my part!

Your story was still funny, though :)
