Happy Thanksgiving!!!! While waiting for turkey and relatives to arrive, I went out to the shop to finish my Lobo
This is the 2nd one like this I have made. I am keeping the 1st one but this one will help you with camp chores and Zombies! I got the concept from World War Z. The soldiers designed a tool for taking out Zs by hand and called it a Lobo. Short for Lobotomizer. This is my version of what such a tool might look like. It is really a short glaive style weapon but it chops, stabs, and cuts. You have a large two handed grip with a large guard to prevent slipping foward on a thrust. Also the "choil" area is large enough to use as a grip to use the blade knife style for carving if needed. With the wide blade, you could even dig with it although digging in while under Zombie attack, means yer diggin yer own grave so keep fighting!!!!
The pommel end is pointy just in case you find yourself surrounded and need to strike rearward! This is a big cutter at 28in overall. The blade is 12 5/8in tip to handle with about 8 3/4in of cutting edge. The blade is 3in at it's widest spot. I made this from 1/4in thick 5160 with a differentially hardened blade with a visible hamon
The scales are textured black G10 with stainless steel screws. The tang has been drilled out so it is not too heavy. I'd say it is similar in weight to a medium sized camp axe like a Collins 3/4 axe. It will come with a black Kydex blade cover. The price for this bad@$$ piece of gear is $575***SOLD*** shipped in the US. I was having trouble getting good pics so I apologize up front for that. The one pic includes a 7.5in barreled AR pistol for scale
