Hi All,

I'm looking for recommendations for lock back knives with a pocket clip. It must also be a two-handed opener, so no thumb stud/hole.

As an example of what I seek, the Boker Anso Zero and Benchmade Summit lake come to mind.

Thanks for any input, God bless guys!

Cold Steel has a couple examples like this with nail nicks. Look at their folding knives.

The Benchmade Hunt Summit Lake series and the older Bone Collector lock backs are the main ones I thought right off hand.

might be able to silver solder a clip onto a Buck 110 or 112.
Not sure what affect that would have on the forever guarantee, though.

A two-hand opening lockback with a pocket clip is a rare bird.

A few more options are the Boker Plus Titan Drop2 (nail nick version), and the Bear & Son 205RC.

Drilling and tapping holes to attach an aftermarket clip may also be an option depending on the knife.

Also, many thumbstuds are easily removable.

Benchmade Summit Lake - very underrated knife IMO. The small version pictured below with aftermarket scales.

With original dymondwood scales....

Can you all name some slip joints with pocket clips? I'm moving to a place where locks are bad and I like pocket clips, so I'm doing some research!

Some I know of include:

- Spyderco Pingo, Urban, UKPK, Squeak, Terzuola, PITS...
- Manly Comrade
- Byrd Tern

And you point me towards any more??

Thanks and God bless you!

Without a doubt, my choice for you would be from the Al Mar Classic series: the Al Mar Eagle Classic, Falcon Classic, Hawk Classic, or the Osprey Classic. depending on your size preference.

Beautiful lines, slim, excellent fit and finish and a fair selection of handle materials as well. You can choose nail nick or thumb stud too.

The lightweight series is also very nice.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing an environment with restrictions on locks and/or one-handed opening will also have ones on blade length, so I'm avoiding anything over 3" or so. By the way, I own a Tern specifically purchased for UK carry, but the backspring was so stiff as to be dangerous and the knife went immediately into a drawer. The UKPK, Pingo, and PITS (the blue one is sexy) are all good choices. A couple options not mentioned:

- Böker Plus Exskelibur [sic] II
- Böker Plus City (comes in two different handle scale colors and versions starting with a single blade, but also ones with various tools similar to the SAK)
- Alox SAK with a dangler/suspension clip.
- Leatherman pliers-based tool?

The Leatherman MTs with clips tend to also have locks, but that gives me a segue into my next question: is this a legal thing, a work policy, or a matter of decorum? Clips call attention to the fact that you're probably carrying a knife, so in restrictive situations I focus less on what's strictly legal and just put whatever I'm carrying in my pocket. If you're going to advertise with a clip, you're probably best off having whatever it's attached to be as friendly-looking as possible.
