Lock Bar Movement After Disassembly

I have had a small regular for a few months now, and I have disassembled it twice. Both times, when I put it back together, the lock bar rests a little further on the tang than when it was new (a little further the second time than the first time, as well). Is it normal to have the lock bar position shift after disassembly?

The shift is small, but enough to see. By all accounts it is well within spec as far as lockbar position, but that is not the issue, shiting position is.

Just make sure the washers are in position and everythign should be right. It is not rocket science, but you might want to check the sticky.

I've notice that also. you must flick it open once when it is reassembled, and everything will be back in the right place. tighten the screws after.
