lockback knives

Buck is a good value and hard to beat in that regard. However, Cold Steel makes a good back lock in better steel than Buck uses (on the standard knife) and it has a stronger lock. If you like metal handles the Code 4 is pretty good. The American Lawman is great, too. Spyderco makes the Endura, Stretch, and Native 5 that are in the ball park as far as price, but, again, better steel and a strong lock.

best lockback knives other than the buck 110 i want to pose this question is there lockback knives for the same price as the 110 that are better quality also i would want to know if anyone has experience with the Taylor brands made old timer 70t
Try out a Byrd Robin 2 or Cara Cara 2 in G-10, they're outstanding.

The plus about the Cara Cara 2 is that it's thin it's like halfway in size between a delica and an endura!

While I don't have personal experience with it, I've heard great things about the China-made A.G. Russell Sowbelly Trapper.

That said; I continue to remain impressed with my Buck 110 from their Custom Shop. Mine has the S30V blade with Asian Water Buffalo scales so it was on the pricier side. But go with the Custom Shop version in 420 stainless and your choice of wood scales, and you'll get a custom lock back for just a bit more than the standard price. Plus, it will come with a leather belt sheath. Mine is beautifully made and arrived VERY sharp.
