Lockblade or linerlock

some years ago, ive carried for a long time in outdoors as a folder a medium douk douk, which has no lock, and im still impressed with it
slim, light, easy to sharpen, flat grind, almost needle point (that as ive mentioned some time ago in one thread, ive stabed in a coin with no damage), all metal construction...one of the best knives i own imo...can take a lot of punishment...and its still going strong
the only "problem" with it is that has a carbon steel blade, and needs more care, but thats all
it did the job, and had no lock :D

many choices in many threads for an outdoor folder...were saks, that either have no lock, or a kind of liner lock, or some other type like the rucksak has, i cant comment because im not familiar with that lock, with a slider button or something similar
a few tools ( saw, blade, can/bottle opener...and so on) on a small sak, with or without lock, are very useful in the woods
also there are those nice looking slippies, that have 2 or 3 blades, that see a lot of time in the woods, from what ive seen
so, my idea is that for a backup folder, considering you have a fixed blade, the lock is not that important as the cutting/capabilities of the knife in question, so it can be whatever you like and feel comfortable with
