Basically I want to get a post going for quality US made knives for $40 and under. Whatever your reasons, post up what you know - I'll get us started with a short list but a good start:

Spyderco Native - My current recommendation
Kershaw Skyline
Buck 110

What else you got?

Spyderco S30V natives are made in Golden, Colorado, I do believe;)

Native III's are Seki City, Japan and have VG-10 steel.

They are USA made but I don't see them under 40 bucks.

Which ones?
Spyderco Native - 39 and change at Wally World
Kershaw Skyline - 29 - 31 bucks most places on line
Buck 110 - 39 and under on a bunch of mainstream websites.
Also, Kershaw Scallion, Kershaw Chive. :)

Sorry.

I don't believe the Wally World VG-10 Natives are made in the US.
The S30V Natives are made in the US, but are around $50.

I could be wrong.

I satnd corrected.

Spyderco Native USA S30V @ $39.48 @ Wally World.

Damn you Wal-Mart and your low, low everyday prices!

Made in Texas, but you better check!
The company is based there, but I believe their products are all imported. The older one I have was made in Japan; the newer ones are unmarked so I suspect China.

They're based in Golden, Colorado.

VG-10 models come from Japan.

S30V models are made in the USA (most of them, at least)

I'm not sure about D2 (although the Para-Milli is the only one I know of, and I believe it's made in Golden)

8Cr13MoV models (Byrd brand) come from china.

i believe he was talking about Meyerco.

Another vote for either the Spyderco Native or Buck 110. Anything that comes from Kershaw and fits that criteria should be fine also.
