Locking Blade Folding Knives Made in the USA for $40 and under.

Case, Bear And Son make a few that may fit the criteria.

I believe Leatherman knives are US made, start around $20.

Aside from the 110, Buck makes a few others in the US. As mentioned, Kershaw makes several.

And I'll add a couple more:
-Spyderco USA Native
-Kershaw Skyline
-Kershaw JYD (Junkyard Dog, the original)
-Kershaw Storm
-Kershaw Leek
-Kershaw Scallion
-Kershaw Chive
-Buck 110

Case has some, but price might depend on hitting the sales. Bought one of their Ruger Swing Guard knives for $40 on closeout a few months ago.

Often overlooked but Remington M-series, about $27. Mine locks up solid, blade gets razor sharp.

The Kershaw Skyline is a fantastic knife for around 30 dollars on the internet. U.S.A. made. Kershaw is making some FINE knives for inexpensive prices.

Aren't there some Moore Maker knives being made by Boker in Germany or Argentina now?
Just by skimming the website, I don't think so, but I didn't check all models. I think MMs used to be made by Queen or Cammilus (I could be wrong) but I'm pretty sure they are all now manufactured in Matador, TX.
All Spyderco knives are made on Earth.

Unless something changed and I missed it (always possible!) I think MM switched to Bear Cutlery in Alabama when Camillus went under. I think Queen makes most, if not all, of the nicer bone handled models.

Basically I want to get a post going for quality US made knives for $40 and under. Whatever your reasons, post up what you know - I'll get us started with a short list but a good start:

Spyderco Native - My current recommendation
Kershaw Skyline
Buck 110

What else you got?

I'm a bit fussy in my definitions. For me, the term "US made" means
- a knife made from American-made materials and alloys,
- designed and manufactured in the US,
- by an American owned company.

Only knives meeting all those requirements keep all the funds in the US. And I take <$40 to mean the price at an internet store sans shipping charges.

So that limits the choices to:
Spyderco Native (not the Native III)
Buck knives, 110 and a couple of others (Prince, Buck 55, .
Bear and Son although I have not tried one yet and do not know if they satisfy the quality requirement.

Mooremaker does not make their own knives and I do not know who is currently making their stuff now.
Kershaw makes good stuff, but does not use much in the way of American alloys and is foreign owned.

I do not know of any others.
