Hey all!

I am planning my honeymoon in a place that does not allow regular carry of knives with blades longer than 2.5 inches. I tried searching with filters on popular online knife stores, but there are hundreds of options. I'm looking for a locking folding knife for general edc with a pocket clip and a 2.5 inches or less blade. I'm hoping to find one with a decently comfortable handle that fits well in the hand as I have large hands.

Any opinions? Thanks!

Locking folders with blade lengths of 2.5 inches or less:
  • DPx HEAT/F
  • Al Mar Hawk
  • Boker Pipsqueak
  • Spyderco Dice
  • Spyderco Lil Lum

Spyderco dragonfly is a really good one. If you want to get something cheap in case you loose it or whatever i would say the cold steel tuff lite is pretty good too

Pro-tech half breed. Its an auto but with a 2" blade that is legal in most states.
Otherwise a dragonfly.
Have fun on your honeymoon regardless.
Cheers

DpxGear HEAT/F is one little great framelock folder. Grippy g-10 scale and the full flat grind makes it a very compact and capable performer.

Just to elaborate; since you are on your honeymoon and in a place not too keen on knives, I recommended the Dragonfly.

It has a leaf shaped blade - not perceived as aggressive or pointy as some other knives.

Further more, the Dragonfly can be had in relatively cheap variations to more expensive ones.

Heck, you should buy one for your self AND your bride.

I also recommend the dragonfly. I got the green/ZDP version and it is so unobtrusive that it disappears.

Just buy the knife while you are on your honeymoon. Your bride is probably going shopping at some point anyway.

The dragonfly and tufflite are two classic small knives that do big work. Tufflite is a little more heavy duty to me, while the dragonfly a more refined carry that disappears in pocket.

Also, check my out the baby folder thread for lots of pics and eligible folders.

Spydie Cat. Very very capable small knife!
Enjoy the honeymoon!!

The Spyderco Cat and Dragonfly are both excellent. The Boker Blackwood Pipsqueak is very fun, but may be a tad expensive.

I've been looking at the Spyderco Burch Chubby again.
Might as well just buy one ond get it out of my system.
