Locomotive Knife Lock

Better than a switchblade

Hope whoever designed it has protected the idea with patents or legally somehow.
I've had some ideas stolen in the past and learned, unfortunately, to hold my cards close to my chest.
Cool idea, already thinking of a couple variations...

This is just asking for dumb people to cut their fingers off with, but it's a pretty cool mechanism nevertheless. Seems like a lot of moving parts to go wrong though.

Check out Gavin and Grant Hawk knives they have lots of crazy locks. They made the ET kershaw and the Ti-Lock that CRK uses. Keep up the great work looks like a neat idea time to put it in a proto type knife.

Cant wait to see that in a knife.
Those parts look fairly large though. I wonder how you will overcome the size challenge. I wouldn't want a knife that has a super fat handle just to accomodate a fancy lock.

Very interesting - it looks like it works well.

I will be interested to see you perfect the design, if you will be so kind as to share with us here.

I do have a concern about the spring-closing - I can just imagine the accidental cuts from that - you know how some people get very careless with sharp objects!

Thanks for showing off the fruit of your talent!

best regards -

Looks like a similar idea to the camillus lever lock...

It'd be awesome on a real folder built to scale with the mock-up in the video! :D

Thanks for the positive feedback!

At first it was just like the task from physics textbook....
Then I had to prove that it is achievable :) ...
Now, apparently, have to find someone who will make it.... (I know how)

But I'm just software analyst. I'm not a knifemaker! :)

PS: as usual "PS" for all my previous and future posts: sorry for my Google English :(
