This may be a dumb question, but I just have never used an epoxy dispensing gun. When I run out of g/flex, I was considering trying e-120hp, but am wondering about the factory Loctite dispenser---I have an inherent distrust of plastic tools, and wondered if there was any reason I couldn't use something like the PC999509 PPM-50 dispenser instead, as it's metal and half the cost of the plastic Loctite-branded tool. As far as I understand it, it's just pushing the two plungers forward at the same time, right? Or, for those who use this epoxy, is the factory dispenser fairly durable, as long as you don't baton with it? :)

Yes it just pushes the two plungers at the same time. As for the loctite dispenser it's very durable I've had mine for years but use it as what it's made for.

Okay, good to hear, I'll go with the factory one--thanks! Do you use the mixing tips, or just dispense it and mix it yourself?

Just the dispenser . It works just fine . One squeeze off the handle and you have enough for one knife or for me anyway. Before you remove the tip mark it so then you always put it back on the same side.

Again, I appreciate it--looking forward to trying it out!
