Although I'm no knifemaker yet, I thought this would be the place to ask. I'm re-handling a camp knife made for me by Max Ogg. I'm using black paper micarta and black fiber spacers.
I'm using Loctite "extra time" 2-part epoxy and corby bolts. My question is, I snugged the bolts down tight and clamped the scales and pushed out quite a bit of the epoxy. I'm really using this epoxy as a sealer more than anything else with the corby bolts. Will this epoxy being so thin still have any holding power? I roughed up the scales and the tang and the tang was already very flat. I guess it doesn't really matter but I'm curious. Thanks.
