OK, the fact that there are multiple threads floating about on screws backing out of 31's indicate there is definitely a problem.
I purchased a large 31 Insingo a little over a week ago.
I've been using it as much as I can to break in the washers.
I looked at the knife today and glory be, the blade was off center.
There was also slight side to side play.
So I took a hex wrench to the screws and wouldn't you know it, the pivot screw was loose.
DAMMIT!
"The 31 stop pin is different than what CRK used with 21s. It's a lot harder which causes the pivot to loosen."
OK, this is an explanation, makes sense too.
BUT IT'S COMPLETE BULLS*#T!!!
Why fix one thing if it makes something else worse!?!
AGAIN, BS.
I paid $550 for this thing and I expect damn near perfection!
I DON'T EXPECT TO NEED TO USE LOCTITE ON THE SCREWS TO KEEP MY $550 KNIFE FROM FALLING APART.
THIS IS WHY I PAID $550 IN THE FIRST PLACE!
I've seen $50 Chinese POS knives that you can hard flick open continuously for days on end that don't need effing Loctite!
CRK really need to get their act together, NOW!
BTW, when I owned Sebenza 21's a while back, the screws would POP when you broke them free.
None of the 31's I've owned have done this.
SOMETHING IS DIFFERENT/WORSE WITH EITHER THE DESIGN, MANUFACTURE, OR TOLERANCE ALLOWANCES!
They should hire Chris back as a consultant and pay him whatever he wants to get the company back to what it was when he ran things!
I emailed CRK about this already so I'll see how they handle this.
It's at the point that either Ann or Tim need to address the knife community en masse on this matter!
