Loctite on the g-10 of my new Zing...

I just purchased a new Kershaw Zing and like most of their knives it came out of the box with the clip set in the left-hand tip-down position. I don't understand why they do this as the majority of people are right-handed. Their knives with this as the only carry position are automatically out of the running for an EDC ( really like the "Needs Work" but I can't get past the clip), but I digress. My issue is with the loctite residue left behind on the G-10 when I swapped the clip to the right-hand tip-up position. I've read the forum posts about removing loctite but none on how to remove it from G-10. I really love this little knife but the residue is bugging the crap out of me. Anyone have any advice on how to remove it safely from the G-10?

The handles on your zing are actually glass filled nylon. I would start with a little denatured alcohol - it doesn't actually desolve the loctite, but it inhibits it's a ability to bond to the plastic. You should then be able to scrape off the loctite.

If this doesn't work, put some acetone or nail polish remover on a paper towel and set it on the spot of loctite for a minute or two. Acetone isn't great fro plastics, but I just sprayed some on a Zing I had lying on my desk and it didn't seem to hurt it. Just don't soak the part in it.

Thanks so much for the advice. I tried alcohol and nail polish remover but I just dabbed some on with a q-tip. I'll try some on a bit of paper towel and let it sit for a bit.
