It's important to clean all the lube/oil off the parts you want to fix before applying the Loctite. Otherwise it won't lock.

I use vc3 vibra-tite thread locker. You apply it to the male threads let it dry over night then assemble. Because you are assembling dry it doesn’t leech were it doesn’t belong.
It lasts through multiple cycles of tightening loosening and adjusting.

Spyderco sent me a 0.5ml tube of Loctite 243 together with a set of body screws for my Centofante 2, with a short note to use it when replacing the screws. So I guess Loctite 243 is what they use/recommend.Can someone provide a link or an image for the correct blue Loctite for knife screws. The packaging all looks the same, and then there is an "automotive" 242 blue Loctite. All unnecessarily confusing to me. Like, they have to put the "blue" formula and the "red" formula in the same red tubes? Come on, guys.
Thanks.
Yep, I am guilty of using too much Loctite. Now that I think about it I am also a repeat offender of the use too much Loctite club.I think that the biggest problem is people using too much Loctite. It doesn't take much to keep a fastener from backing out.
