Just how long does this Chris Hopkinson of Samuel Staniforth Ltd. and all other employees take off during the holidays. My guess is that they just got off of there holidays since who knows when my order was accepted(according to my paypal reciept dated on Dec. 21 2013 10:25pm and for some wierd reason i had to call off the hook and still to this day have not spoken to anyone yet. But it seems when i emailed them about a tracking number i was pleasantly surprised to find out that the order hadn't even been processed in there shop factory, all I know is that it is unacceptable from a consumers point of view if i knew that the company shuts down totally i would have been less likely to fork over the hundreds of dollars to have it put on the back burner somewhere there. I probably will never order anything from england again in the future and i will not have much to say of encouragement to those thinking of spending the money with paypal ect. with purchases from england. I would rather wait until it is available here in the country at which i reside and to tell you the truth if it isn't easily available to consumers here i really don't think it is worth it anyways. It is like the old saying if it looks good generally it is good and if you want people to believe give them something to believe in substance you would think non of the smoke and mirrors bull .

all these survival experts seem to be thieves in the night. attaining the knowledge of the people of the land and then pushing them off the very land they taught these experts with wow i guess this is it all the tribes people have been depleted or used up for these cheesy reality shows sad times for all people who have the pleasure of enjoying the ways on others coat tails. So who's the next survivalist probably a CNN reporter go figure""

You are posting just to slam an obscure cutlery dealer in the UK?

The maker warns: "Delivery
Our knives are hand crafted to order. Although we endeavor to manufacture and deliver your chosen knife as soon as we can, the following delivery times should be borne in mind, especially if you are purchasing a knife as a gift:"

The knife is in stock (1 on hand) in the U.S. for under "hundreds" of dollars - about as many dollars as you paid UK Pounds.

Cheer up. Try a post that does not attack someone .

What does England, in general, have to do with this one, apparently, English guy who is talking too long on your survival tool?

ED: He ordered what is, in effect, a custom knife, brand "Scorpion," made by a small Sheffield company, Samuel Staniforth Ltd. for "hundreds of dollars" and is unhappy with lack of communication/delivery.

Ok. I, personally, find the time it is taking reasonable, but "the customer is always right."

That said, still don't see how this anger applies to England in general. :) Kind of a "broad brush."

Sorry i mist the first bit . And i have been lookin them up samuel staniforth . Is the over seas part of scorpion knives . Ther are a couple of stockists that sell that knife but they are all showing out of stock . From 2 to 6 weeks . So by the sounds of it ther catchin up on orders

All this in General Knife Discussion. And another post inserted into a General Knife thread on SAKs, where it totally confused the poor bystanders, so I moved it here. Where it is still out of place / off topic.

Does anyone know if this Scorpion knife is any good? I believe I read another mention of it here a while ago. ( Oops! My apologies, I just remembered the discussion. )

THIS thread is on its way to FEEDBACK.

BladeHQ currently shows this knife to be in stock for probably a lot less than you may have paid for the same knife from the English dealer. You may be able to cancel your original order from England and just order from a US dealer like BladeHQ and have your knife in a few days. Just make sure to call BladeHQ and confirm the stock availability before you cancel your other order.
