Logger Boots?

I wear steel toe Mason logger boots every day. I stand all day mostly on concrete and my feet are always quite comfortable in them. They are less than ideal for hiking (anything more than 3-4 miles) , particularly descending slopes with the steel toes. Wish I could afford a pair of Vibergs.

You should take a look at the Danner Elk Hunter boots sold at Cabelas. I wear them in the shop standing on a concrete floor all day. Plus they are great on the trail.

All the posts have given great advise on boots. Very good brand names mentioned. For general construction work, I'm a Redwing fan.

A price range would help...since recommendations given have been anywhere in the 100-500 dollar range
