OK I just got off the phone with spyderco,
The initial person I spoke to told me taking the knife apart period voided the warranty I asked why what she was telling me differed from the box and asked to speak to someone higher up, the next person I spoke with was very friendly and informative and told me taking the knife apart and putting it together without damage does NOT void the warranty should for example the steel fracture or other defect take place. I didnt catch her name but she was very polite as was I and now we can lay this to rest. IF YOU TAKE YOUR KNIFE APART AND DAMAGE IT YOU WILL PAY FOR REPAIR THE ACT OF DISASSEMBLY DOES NOT VOID WARRANTY UNLESS YOU DAMAGE THE KNIFE PERIOD. She also said some knives they sell are more difficult to assemble than others which is why they recommend sending the knife in to be opened. I agree with her 100%

So no more false information

Sounds logical...pun intended :)

Lol I'm just glad to have an answer from spyderco, to many people don't know what there talking about.

Yay...problem solved. Why do we need two threads about the same topic? Rhetorical question. Closed.
