logo on stainless Police

Years ago they used to stamp or engrave the Police logo. In the last couple of years it looks painted.

In the 2008 catalogue it looks like the old stamped/engraved logo? Was this a mistake or am I just guilty of wishful thinking?

I think they used a stock photo of an older Police. The Photo doesn't have the Spyderbug on the blade, and I believe the latest production pieces have the bug instead of POLICE on the blade.

I think the latest logo wouldn't be painted but "laser etched", but then again maybe not. :D

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to look for an older (stamped/engraved) one all the same.

my new police 3 has the spyderbug on it. It doesn't say police anywhere.

I have a fairly recent seki ,VG10 stainless Police and it hgas both the bug and POLICE in what looks like laser etching. I am disappointed to hear there is no POLICE on the 3.
Here is a photo ,please don't make fun of my toes but feel free to laugh about the Striders.

Cool little Police sheath with a TEKLOC from On Scene Tactical.
Here they are sheathed.

The sheath is very secure. So is the Mule sheath and it works perfect as a neck knife.
You simply wear it between a undershirt and regular shirt and forget it until you need it.

Won't make fun of the toes, or the Striders, but have to ask...

...do you have a tablecloth to go with those dining room chairs? :D

On a more serious note. The Police has gone through a number of different logos, and a few periods over the years where there was no logo. Never can tell what the future holds, it could show up again on the regular Police, or get added to the Police III, or both, or neither.

I have chairs and tablecloth in the "relish" cadpat and the arid for outdoor entertaining in summer. Stylish and they sure do hide the stains.

I do hope the logo shows up again. It was one of the things that made the Police so unique.
