i have a plan currently in motion to move to the pacific NW, from crappy NEoh...

i love the snow, but i can do without bitter cold.

my job is outside , so my suggestion to you to stay warm is layers....and if you get warm, take some off. sweat kills.

oh, and 'heatgear' is the best thing since sliced glass.

I live in the Pacific NW now. I'm originally from Massillon, Ohio. My neighbor across the street is from East Liverpool and graduated from Youngstown State. Three of my cousins grew up in Youngstown and went to Youngstown Cardinal Mooney High School. They live in Spokane. I'm in Vancouver, WA near Portland. If you move out this way, stop in and visit my shop.

It's a small world, after all.

It's been in the -20's and -30's and -40's here for a month. No mosquitoes or riffraff. The shop is a constant 53 degrees (above) as I have hot water tubing in the sand below the concrete. I grew up at Int'l Falls, MN, so this is the banana belt!

Look out Panch0, the cold snap is on the way.

Bubba, that stuff is hitting us now.:eek::D

yesterday morning a beautiful -21 degrees up here in saranac lake in the north country

AAhhhh Man! Its 42 today, Oh well it was fun while it lasted. Time to get the jacket out.:grumpy:

Its been a cold one here, alot of -30s though the past few weeks, hard on my wood pile, but good for my oil tank as the wood furnace runs continuously, not letting the oil have any chance of running. I use the oil only as a backup such as when nobody is in the house, or during mild weather when holding a fire overnight would overheat the place.

We need the cold weather, the mild winters of recent years has caused the bark beetle, along with other parasites to stess the forests, and alot of jackpine has died as a result. Its hopeful that the cold weather will knock down the bug population, giving the forest a chance.
