Hey Folks,

I knew that Lonewolf and Loveless were putting out a few knives, but I had no clue that they had a folder out and under $100:eek:

Anyone have one of these?? If so, what do you think?? Thanks

yeah I wanna know too -- I think they look very slick. I'm anxious to see what lone wolf comes up with in the future.

Also, is this thing a lockback or slipjoint?

I have searched every site that carries them with no luck answering that question. It's hard for me to believe no one here has one or at least fondled one. Hopefully someone will roll in here soon with some first hand info.

Here is a picture straight from Lone Wolf's site.

Looks like its a slipjoint, but who knows!

It is a Slip Joint

I handled one at a store a few weeks back.

It is extreamly well made, strong spring, no blade play, blade is exactly centered, and the handle is excellently finished, a great knife i really wanted it.

I honestly have never seen a Loveless design that I didn't like, this one here wouldn't be the exception. I like it, but what happened to the Nail Nick in the partially closed and closed postion in that pic?

I've handled one is person and they are pretty sweet little blades. Great blade geometry, smooth action, great handle. It is a slipjoint is just about the right size for pocket carry.
Good luck,
Matt

Now thats a good question. Good observation.

Anyone know the answer?

I think it's on the other side. The knife appears to be right side up when the nail nick is missing and left side up when open.

Never mind....I think the bottom of the handle would be turned the other way.:footinmou

Any Lone Wolf knife I have personally handled I liked. But now I have seen two companies dumping them for low dollars and not ordering any more stock of them. This is too bad.

It's tough to straddle the line between custom and almost custom - from the price standpoint. Some folks figure - well .. for a few dollars more ... I can get a custom knife instead of an almost-custom knife.

Particulary sweet was the Brian Tighe - I'd be damned if that knife did not open, feel and sound like a custom knife. Very well executed.

is a SLIPJOINT. great knife. i sell quite a few of em.

as others have said, no play, strong spring, very well built.

Edited to add : Sorry for the confusion folks :o :footinmou

 but it's GOTTA be a slipjoint, unless there is some sort of invisible lock release.

Flipped photo…or…a left hander. Most likely a flipped photo.

Cheers

Oh ya, seems like the slipjoint verdict outweighs the lockback verdict but neither would suprise me. Maybe there are some of both.

Just to add to the confusion...

I was looking at them on eBay and they said it was a liner lock...

Based on this picture it looks like a slip joint.

No pictures I've seen give any indication that it's a lockback...
