What do you guys think of the Lone Wolf Paul knives?

There is about 2 videos on youtube about them, and they seem rarely discussed.. Are they any good?

my dad has an old paul knife and it is really a cool knife... it's still designed by the same guy and they use 154 cm so it's probably worth a shot.

yeah, i just checked it out to see if there were any reviews and i was pretty disappointed. I have no idea about lone wolf's reputation, i would go based off that.

they're good-very good- i have a lobo- it s a scale release and it's extremely smooth to open- no thumbstub, just a slot in the blade and one flick of the thumb and its out-go for it

Hmm.. I want to check out that Axial opening thing lol! But their knives go for 100+ Even the ones with 440C..

I have 1 only - a Paul Protector - really like it - very impressive knife and in the increasingly popular "gentelman's tactical folder" class rather than the more common aggressive-looking CQC styles. A knife doesn't have to look like a black ops zombie killer in order to do its job. Because of it's unique and smoooooth onehanded opening system and overall elegance it would not put off as many sheeples inspite of its size

A have a PSK book that speaks very highly of these small locking folders. Never handled one personally but I'm thinking the info is decent. I'm thinking of picking one up myself. No experience with that particular locking mechanism. Blade is slightly smaller on the LW knives as compared to the orig Paul knife. Let us know what you do. -DT

Have you checked out the Doug Ritter/Benchmade RSK Mk4? It's based off a Lone Wolf Paul design, but with a wonderfully shaped S30V blade and G10 twill handle scales. It's one of the most beautiful and useful looking production gentlemen's knives I've ever scene.

The button lock on many of the Paul models I would call only light to medium use. I have examined several and relatively light hits on the spine from an open palm were able to cause the lock to fail. Otherwise very cool knives!

Anyone handled a Diablo? Opinions?

I'm looking at getting my first auto soon and my ears perked when i heard about the diablo... haven't gotten to handle one yet though, the only auto's ive gotten to handle are BM's and mexico specials

There are several reviews on here, but without search I don't know how you can find them, that were not to positive about the axial mech. Several people talked about having ordered one and seding it back because after a few days the blade became wobbly and there is no way to tighten it up. I have no first hand knowledge and am only repeating what I heard so you may want to take it with a grain of salt.

I carry a Paul Prankster 154cm / Cocobolo to work every day in the office in NYC. I have had the knife for about a year. I have not had any problems with the lock or blade play. The fit and finish of the knife I have is very good and I am happy with my purchase. I like that the knife is locked open and closed.

I have two of them. Both flawless perfection.

The second one I bought is the one sold by Doug Ritter in S30V blade steel. Its sold as his 'gents folder' but don't be fooled. Its a stout little knife that doesn't know how small it is.

I recommend it to anyone looking at Paul knives if Doug still has any. It even has a fold over lower riding style clip on it.

I'm a suit and tie guy, working in NY, so the knife I EDC must be small and elegant looking or I'll get funny stares. I bought a William Henry knife a few years ago, but it was too pretty for me to use. Then I bought the Doug Ritter/Lone Wolf knife and it was perfect for me.

Thanks guys, with the Christmas and birthday money i get in the next week I may pick up a Lone Wolf Paul model, I checked out the Doug Ritter and it is very nice.. I may have to save up for it

I had a couple of the original Paul knives and loved them tho they have long since been gifted away to nephews. I do have a Lone Wolf Loveless City Knife and it is very well made...I have thought about getting a Lone Wolf Paul but haven't gotten around to it.

I had one.

I really, really liked it.

After a week it developed blade play, both side to side and up and down.

I returned it.

Good luck with yours.
