Lone Wolf Paul knives?

I had one.

I really, really liked it.

After a week it developed blade play, both side to side and up and down.

I returned it.

Good luck with yours.

This is rare, very rare and LoneWolf is quick to solve the problem. Great little knives, our customers very rarely return them.

This company was founded by the folks who ran Gerber when Gerber made their knives in the U. S.

I got this one with laser carved walnut scales a few years ago. The action is very smooth and the fit/finish are very good.

Have you checked out the Doug Ritter/Benchmade RSK Mk4? It's based off a Lone Wolf Paul design, but with a wonderfully shaped S30V blade and G10 twill handle scales. It's one of the most beautiful and useful looking production gentlemen's knives I've ever scene.

Thanks very much for the compliments (and to everyone else who has done so in this thread), but to make a correction, the RSK Mk4 is a Doug Ritter/Lone Wolf Knives collaboration.

Anyone handled a Diablo? Opinions?

I have a Diablo DA and a Harsey D2 DA and love both. They are among my favorite knives from 08 purchases. Every knife I have bought from Lone Wolf Company has been top shelf. I loved the knives these same minds behind Lone Wolf company produced when they were at Gerber and I love what they are doing now just as much. The best thing about the Diablo aside from being a very technical built folder, is that great blade in it. Its my favorite blade shape to begin with but it just flat out works well. I wish I could carry them legally here. I rarely buy or find myself even interested in autos. When I got these they were spur of the moment purchases after handling them at a Tulsa dealer. In fact they are the only autos I own. Just great folders though.

The Paul knives I have have zero blade play. I've used the crap out of my Ritter/Lone Wolf Paul knife and nothing changed. I would like to see the links to these articles or reviews with mention of so called problems with blade play developing with them rather than just read third hand hearsay personally. I thought I kept up pretty well with what goes on in the 'repair end' in productions in the industry and I have never heard of this problem with the Paul knives until this thread. None of my Paul knives whether they be the original Gerber knives or the Lone Wolf examples have exhibited any changes from day one. They just work. I consider them one of the best lock designs of our life time.

I have a LW Pual Panther and it is outstanding. There is a little blade movement when the knive is closed, but when it is open and locked, it is rock-solid. I think it is an elegant knife.
