Long awaited day on Blade HQ: BRS 3.0 Alpha Beast day- who's in?

Unfortunately, I have to be at work all day, & haven't had cell coverage for the 2 months I've been up working in the State of, Idaho (not that it would matter).

If any of you member's are lucky enough to get through & land one of these (I believe that Blade HQ has a 2 limit), I would appreciate it if you'd do a brother a huge favor, & pick up a second one- I can reimburse you a payment immediately!

I have absolutely no knowledge of balisongs, but I've heard tales of this Alpha Beast and people are very excited. So what's the story on it and on BRS, if I may ask? Thanks!

It's always been considered one of thee best/smoothest flippers on the market- & it's definitely one of the coolest designs.

I have to go to work, damn it! ;) Good luck to everyone trying to land one of these. Please post on this thread if you were (are) one of the lucky ones.

Awesome- I'm happy that you were fortunate to score one, brother!

It's my lunch time, & I just RAN in, checked the status of this thread, then ran into my best friend's office, & called Blade HQ...

I spoke with this really cool guy (Jason), & he gave me the news that I pretty much expected: they sold out the AB's, in 3 minutes. He did state however, that they would have a subsequent second release, in the near future.

Glad someone here, scored one of these! :thumbup:
 
Yeah I saw somewhere that the 2nd batch will be in "sooner than you think" so there will be more opportunities for those that missed out.
 
I don't own a balisong despite long time extensive research.

There seems to me no middle ground with quality. Its either spend $200 minimum on a benchmade which should last your whole life for the most part or spend sub $100 dollar balisongs which would last few months to a few years depending on usage.

Also not sure why it was limited to 300 pieces. I love this comment Blade HQ left. Due to limited stock, please limit your order to two (2) knives per household. And if you order 2, it better be for doubles.

Better be for doubles lol. Most people who are ordering two are doing so to resell so they can hold them for six months and sell it for double the price for its exclusivity and rarity making the other one they get virtually free to them. Why else would you want a double of such a high end quality knife.

People like me who can't even come up with the funds for one in the short term are the ones who get screwed. I know this practice all too well from video games and comics and collectibles.

Usually items like this where they are extremely limited and on top of that extremely expensive. I miss out on. Not enough time to save for something that is that exclusive. After tax this Alpha beast is a $400 dollar knife.

I totally understand your frustration. The way I look at it: I saved myself $400, not being able to land one of these...no way that I'm paying more than that, on the secondary market!
