Hi guys,
want to share my excitement on finally receiving my Ramon Chaves Redencion 228. Pre rdered it on July 1st and after much anticipation, and a little sweat when it got held up in Canadian customs, it is finally here! I am very impressed with such high quality of build and fit and finish, just WOW!
Here is just a quick and dirty shot, but I will post more at a later time.

Feel free to post your Chaves knives, I will be buying from him again n the future and need to see what else he makes.ramon1.jpg

Ramon Chaves Redencion 228...ladies and gentlemen!

I am really glad that it made it through, an excellent knife that's very high on my "next knife" list...

Next time, make sure that you request that the pivot is tight so that the blade will not open, that will take all the stress out of it.

Absolutely will do!
Thanks

I got one from that run as well. I'm impressed. It's a monster folder. I hope to pass it down to someone one day.

few more pics with a custom scull clip.

Enjoy!

I have been looking for the mid-tech 228 for awhile. They are difficult to find for sure. Where do you all find them to order?

Thanks
Steve

ok I know this is over a year after this thread, but I just purchased a few of the American Made 228 Redencions. They are for sale on Knifecenter and BladeHQ. I tried emailing Ramon on his website as this is his only contact. One of my knives has a very gritty action. I have emailed him several times but he has not reached out to me. Does anyone know how to get in touch with him. My initial email to him was almost a month ago. Thank for any info you can provide... Andrew

Hi,
Just saw this thread was revived.
About your gritty action: mine also had that at first. I took the pivot apart, took out the cage bearing and gave it a light cleaning - found some tiny particles, not sure what they were, then reassembled and also put some blue loc tite since the pivot kept getting loosened.
It has been flawlessly smooth ever since.
Good luck!
