The Luckett is curvy and wild!
I was wondering when someone would mention the Mad Dogs. K M's knives have been debated and discussed alot here. I must say there is a lot that is attractive, including the differential temper, the balance, the O1 etc, but I just don't know...
I should have mentioned that I Love forging big long double edge pieces here is a picture of a couple for you:
I guarantee all my knives, they will hold there edge and I am very picky about my Heat Treat...No hang overs when I do this, like the guys at the factories that are running the lines.

Bruce, those are two slick and fast looking knives!
I can't tell from the photos but the edges look like they have some serrations, filework or tempering. Is that just the photo? Any other details on the steel, hardness etc? Thanks
HJK,They are both forged from round rod 5160.The Rc on them is between58 and 59.They bothe have filework on the spine and double Blade catcher notches in the back of the edge.5160 doesnt show a temper line as well as other steels do as it has a higher chrome content.
Sing owns the top one and Boriqua owns the bottom one..Sing did a test on his and on one like the second one.I'm sure that he would be glad to let you know how well they perform if you want to ask him.
HDCharlie owns a few of my Bowies if you would like to ask him about them also.
Here is a link to my photo point album pictures of these knives ( more than on my web site) lots of close up shots here. http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=743108&a=8751965 http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=743108&a=7820933

The Bagwell is nice, especially if you want to signal orbiting spacecraft
.
Maestro Mayo's looks like something you could carry every day, until the police catch up with you.
Some really remarkable blades.
But I think I found what I originally sought, [not including the Japanese treasures that cost more than a medium sized car], forged blades with top and bottom temper lines, although I'm afraid I don't have a picture. For a double edged forged fighter with double hamon, Don Fogg makes superb ones of several different kinds, if you expand the definition to include daggers, tantos and short swords.
Actually getting your hands on one is a quite different matter, however.
That's not to denigrate any of the superb knives shown here, and I hope more will be.
Don Makes some really awsome forged Blades,Good Choice.Nothing like getting one from a master instead of a student
.I have known Don for a few years now and he has been a big influence on my knife making direction...
