Long pull and a nail nick. Why?

Here's my theory on leverage :D The old Master sailmaker on the dock uses the long lick and brags that it's all in the wrist. His journeyman uses the front nick so as to not annoy his Master. The apprentice who doesn't want to annoy anyone uses the easy open variety. That's my story and i'm stickin to it :D

Why >? Because Tony can :) , and , I love it. Good posts say it well here,but to me,on a modern hand made knife it is a display of skill level,as well.

Who cares if you'd only use one, billy bob may want to use the other, mary may use both depending upon her mood :)
