I was at the San Francisco Sports and Boat show ( 198 ? ) helping a friend with a venture . There was this man standing up higher then the patrons on an isle end with lots of exposure. He was selling a new marine knife. He was cutting nylon braid with this new style serrated blade. One cut after another. He was there for the whole show. The knife looked great and did to nylon what is hard to do, keep cutting. Hemp can be crushed apart but if the knife is not sharp nylon goes flat and moves with the knife and does not cut. I remember it was all S/S and was more then we would pay for a knife on a racing yacht. I did not but one that day, but it was not long after. Turned out to be a great knife and would part !/2" dacron yacht braid under load on a forty foot Cal. I guess he is still around, I see his knives most everywhere.

That must be quite some knife. I think I should attend a boat show and see if I can pick one up :D.
