In regards to the SOCOM Elite which, in theory, is more reliable? How about durability?

Dennis, thats a good question. I would think, and this was the first one to go through my head, the manual would be more reliable due to it having no spring. BTW I am addressing the SOCOM Elite. In talking about springs though, the manual, with the microbar has 2 or 3 springs pushing that bar. If the spring broke on the auto, and if you could get it open, the plunge lock would still function. I think. The microbar lock wouldn't function if it lost all the springs, but that would be a rare situation I would think. Overall I think the manual would hold up longer due to less moving parts. My opinion.

Which would you prefer for daily carry?

If I had to have one or the other as an everyday carry knife I would choose the manual action.

Oh I should mention that I might carry my auto if it had the same blade grind as my manual. The pre-production grind. I really like the look and I had no problems with it.
Just wanted to clarify!
