Look away Stomper! JK test knife review!

Jake, what do you think this is, the Busse forum?

You're hereby suspended from playing with knives. For 30 minutes.

Well, I guess it was a thorough testing ...

But to be sure, we need to see you use it to put speed holes in your car hood

Just kidding. Great testing. That's a knife that you can have confidence in. Good review j williams, and nice heat treat Stomper!

All the best,

- Mike

Hell yeah, that's the way to do some real abusive testing. After seeing tests like this and the knife survives I get much respect for the maker.

Then the maker will appear on my wishlist:D!!

That was just plain cruel! Then again, I've come to terms with the advantages of .125" for a while now. It is a gosh darn great knife thickness. People get all wigged out because, with a lot of strength, you can flex the blade a couple of degrees by hand.

Fact is, it is thick enough to take it and thin enough to cut it. Good test, well have to rename it 1095ini...

I will not let you outdo me. Mine has been a faithful companion since I received it. John offered to clean it up and put handles on it but I don't want to get rid of it long enough to have him do that.

Mine has been living in my PSK. I used it to break through a lock at work. We have these stupid paper bins to put our important documents in. Well I threw away some stuff I really needed, but the bins are locked and only the recycling company has the key. It's just your standard luggage size lock so I took the knife and a hammer, pried it between it and snapped the lock into pieces.

I have had no time to get out but when I do...I promise this JK will get beat on. Good stuff Jake.

damn, that poor planters tin would have been perfect for making some char cloth. But it gave it's life for an excellent cause. I think this qualifies and hardcore knife porn lol Excellent review, excellent Knife!!!! John it looks like you may have to start doing more exposed tangs so we can beat on them with hammers and not mess up the nice wood scales!!

John's gonna love us. :D

"On my knife I want an exposed tang."

"No problem, we can do that. Any specific reason why?"

"I plan on breaking through bricks with a hammer."

"Woah woah, I'm confident my knives are tough, but they are certainly not meant for that."

"But I read it on the internet, it has to be true!!"

"Damn you Jake!!"

Thanks guys...... I enjoyed beating it.:D

Now nobody is gonna let me in on passarounds though:(

wow.. great test J... very well done... that's the way to do it man...:D

that is a cool looking no-nonsense knife too...

Thanks guys...... I enjoyed beating it.:D

Now nobody is gonna let me in on passarounds though:(

It makes a pretty awesome entrenching tool as well, great for fire lays. The resulting scrapes in the blade filled with rust just give it character.:thumbup:

After im through with it, its goin back to john for some 1/8 black micarta...... Gonna keep it thin, and it is gonna ride in the truck........

John offered to clean it up, but I want to keep it ugly. It earned all the scars, and I dont have the heart to remove em.

That is one tought blade

I guess when you try to break it, you really do TRY to break it ;)
