Look - one mistake and I am a lefty!

I'm fortunate in that I'm left handed but shoot right handed (I'm even capable of doing RE dominant).)

I'm left-eye dominant and write/draw left-handed, but I fight (not that I've been in a fight in years, knock wood) and use tools right-handed. Yeah, I get confused often and I'm a terrible shot :o

Anyway TF, that's a very nice sheath. Sure doesn't look like only a third attempt. :)

great sheath!! had a nephew that showed " left-handed tendicies". we took turns, but we finally beat it out of him. now he's a fine " correct handed " young man. oh yeah, dont waste time on left-handed girls, cause it dont matter with them. :D

Looks like great work - you can maybe make it an inside the waistband sheath like I've seen before. I tend to make a similar mistake when assembling Swedish furniture!

First, the sheath is very nice. Second, it took me awhile to open this thread because after reading the subject, I was affraid you chopped your hand off...

Question- is there a welt insert on the sheath? You can cut through threads fairly easily, though it's pretty easy to repair using the stohlman saddlery stitching techniques. The main way we avoid that is with a nice thick insert. Still possible to cut through leather, but takes some effort. solid deep pouches help, too- the pressure tends to 'pivot' around the front of the handle.

Rivets are always an option, and can look really good. I like, for example, magnussen's copper rivet style a lot.

I understand the rivet option. It makes sense, as someone told me on PM's, that you can cut through the stitches and rivets will protect against this.

I need to think about where to put them and then see what I think...

Any advice would be great.

TF
