http://www.grizzly.com/products/G0463

i'm sure i'll be talking to some guys to get it all tricked out over time. thanks for lookins guys. time for bed but tomorrow i'll be setting this bad boy up:cool:

Nice arrival.

blgoode, I'd assume he would use it for slotting guards and whatnot.

Have fun with it. I hope you don't encounter any quality problems.

Alex

Awesome Mike  You're going to find all kinds of uses for that. Tooling is everything now ! The more you have, the more you'll be able to do ;)

One use is to make the joint between the guard and the scales perfect. I mill the back side of the guard then I actually mill the scale, I love my mill.

Don't you just love that delivery guy!! Congrats!!

I think that everyone on this forum has an accute case of TAS, as Spangler has just demonstrated. Tool Aquisition Syndrome is almost impossible to cure, as even with an unlimited budget there's always some other tool that you just /need/ to have =)

thanks guys. i'm so damn excited i'm going to get some planks to help get it into my cellar, then i need to spend the night stripping off grease and breaking it in.

now i need to start reading up on it, and ow to work with it byond the basics, and how to trick it out.

i'm mainly be using this for folders, but i guess i should get into hidden tangs sometime. thanks guys

Good score Mike. I love it when new "stuff" comes in. I just got a machinists clamp kit for my mini mill from HF, it arrived today.

thanks for the comments guys. i love this ting and i havent even started to break it in yet.

hey guys whats with the red grease??? this one didn't have any on it? just a good coat of some type of oil.

hey Larry way to go man. gotta love these mills huh?

i'm just dying to try this thing out.
after i get a few more projects out of the way i'm going to set this baby up with a power feed, DRO, some indexable mills. and who knows what else.
man i'm excited. almost all done with the break in. one more cycle

LOL I got a bigger unit and had to wait to built a stand and then rig a hoist to lift it up onto the stand before I could play with mine. It was torture untill I finally got to push the green button.

yeah i just bought a stand good up to 500lbs from Harbor freight... normally 29.99 on sale for 19.99, worth the 20 bucks for a nice little "universal tool stand" (thats what they call it)

now i need to make a top for the table, then get the mill on top. man this has so many steps to getting ready. definately not something you can just plug in and go.

hey Dave, dont make fun of me just because my fingers arent the size of bananas ;)
i got the little hands to work on little fine detailed knives alright?:o

man i'm lining myself up for some jacka$$ery from mace right now arent i?
there goes the thread!
