This just arrived. Some of it even has burl. I am almost afraid to start cutting it.

Talked to Burl today about an order. He had my attention when he told me about these that came in today. Ok Mr. Burl. You have our attention. :D

Hey, Mark. If there's some good figured burl in that group, I'd be happy to buy a number of scale sets from you. Good ironwood is getting harder to find. :)

I probably shouldn't say this on this forum, but around here people burn ironwood for their campfires.

I started cutting a little while ago. It's like cutting rocks. I'll let you know what I come up with. Vege Taco, tell them to quit burning the stuff. A handle size block can sell for $10 for a crapola piece up to.......? for a really good one.

No no no...that's where my lost shipment went to! If you can forward that to me at..... :D

I am going cross eyed cutting this stuff. 3 blades later. Think I'll call it a day and re-start in the morning.

I have discovered that 12 to the inch metal cutting blades work great in my wood bandsaw to cut really hard wood. Just a thought. Jim

This was a whole lot different than the last batch of ironwood I cut.
I don't know whether to shake the guy's hand who helped get this or if I should hit him with a rock.

This wood had more waste than anything I have ever cut. .......But a few of the pieces look cooler than any ironwood I have ever seen.

I have only gotten ironwood a few times so I don't know what is normal with this stuff.

I am finished cutting so now I need to sand, measure and photo these. Several of you wanted some of this, so a little advance warning. Should have the ironwood listed in the for sale section this afternoon.

Can't wait to see the pics! I'll also be looking for some tips on the best way to cut ironwood...I've got somewhere between 500 and 600lbs of it sitting in the shop just waiting.... :)
