I just peeked in on this forum out of curiosity, just to take a look. Then I started to read a little more carefully into the posts, then I started to reaserch the links and google things I read about. Kept getting deeper and deeper into the info and then today, went to the Barnes and Noble for te express purpose of looking for Tom Brown books, came home with his Wilderness survival guide.
OH GOD, how long do I have before I drop out of society and live like a nature boy, naked and free in the wilds?
What have I done!!!

I hear you Shotgunner. I feel the same way. It's about time to take to the woods and live the natural life isn't it? A sturdy knife, a hatchet, a good survival kit and our wits. I think we've reached that point.

I have gone from wanting cars and gadgets to lusting after a well made axe and sources for tinder fungus..Ipod what? :D

I'm with you! After discovering this part of the forum I took to reading a couple of books on wilderness survival and making a "altoid survival tin" along with aquiring other things useful to outdoor survival. So lets pack our bags and get a one way ticket into the Alaskan wilderness!

Beware Shotgunner11...nature boy, some in this forum will start lusting after you and your Barnes & Noble....:D

I just got a few books too. I just got my first...two Leatherman tools, another SAK, and am waiting for a THawk!!!

Next thing you'll know, you will do something like I did. I moved from sunny South Florida to the state with the largest Wilderness area in the lower 48, just to be able to play in the woods. ;)

YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED...

You guys are done now. The first time you spend a week in the wilderness and live off the land you will be hooked. Mac
