alright, all the blades i own are carbon steel, and i cant get enough of it, but i want a good knife that i can take with me anywhere, on the river, out in the woods, etc. something that can handle abuse and still preform, i have heard nothing but good about the paramilitary, and im leading towards it, any other ideas?

the paramilitary 2 is a great knife....if you want a knife you can abuse i would go for one of the zt 300 series

I've also heard good things about the Spyderco Para-Military, but I haven't handled it firsthand (it's on my wish list though). You can't go wrong with a ZT 0350, or a Spyderco Delica or Endura (depending on your size preferences).

a h1 steel spyderco. lots of choices.

if rust concernes you not at all, the para 2 is a great knife, but make sure you like the compression lock. i love it, but allot dislike it. seems to be a love or hate kind of thing.

if you are open to small fixed blades, pocket carry or neck carry, then something like these would serve you well.

the para 2 is great, even a para 1, good handle size so you gloves wont bother your grip to bad, id say its a good choice!

and +1 on the izula
