Looking a New EDC Folder

Okay, guys. I need to pick your brain a bit on this one. I'm looking for a new EDC blade for my job. Working in the stock room at my local grocery store, so I do a lot of cutting during the day (opening boxes, cutting up cardboard, tough plastic straps etc.). I need something that's going to be able to handle a lot of medium to heavy use throughout the day, but it also needs to be somewhat sheeple friendly so I don't end up scaring the customers when I pull it out in the middle of the store to open a box. Ideas and suggestions please.

Any price range needed?

Anyways, some knives I think that could stand up to the job:
Spyderco Dragonfly
Spyderco Delica 4
Spyderco Native - Best bang for the buck. Around $50 and has FRN and s30v.
Benchmade Mini Griptilian
Kershaw Leek
Kershaw Skyline
Kershaw JYD II
Kershaw Rake

And a little more on the expensive side:
Spyderco Sage Series
Spyderco Native 5
Spyderco Caly 3 CF
Spyderco Caly 3.5
Spyderco Gayle Bradley

There are really a lot of options.

For what it sounds like you need it for... I would recommend the Ontario Rat-1 Folder it doesn't look intimidating, it's really tough and best of all its very inexpensive. So even if it were to fail (which I highly doubt it will) it wouldn't hurt your wallet much.

I agree with this. Just get a Kershaw Half Ton for work and support BF by pre-ordering the Skyline.

Only thing is, I'm left handed and the Skyline would be a bit awkward to use (along with any other right hand only blades).

Looking at a Spyderco Stretch at the moment. I'm really liking the blade shape and the over all package. Does VG-10 hold up well? Never had any experience at all with this steel.

No need to worry about vg10, it's a very nice edc steel. It takes a very fine edge and holds it reasonably long and is quite easy to sharpen. Combine that with spectacular corrosion resistance and you have a great steel for a "user".

Ah I've done my fair share of retail work. I'd always carry a rather large folder in one pocket, and a smallish one in the other. Such as:
Boker subcom series
Spyderco leafstorm
Cold steel mini tuff lite
Boker Jim Burke pipsqueak
kabar phat Bob

Get a kershaw skyline ether the standard one for around 35 bucks or the very impressive upgrade bf special edition if you want a major upgrade in blade material and coolness or just want to support the forums.
The delicas are ok but i have liked my skyline more.

Sounds like you are really going to put the blade through some use and abuse so:

1) you will want something slightly more robust than lightweight.
2) comfortable to grip if you have long cutting sessions.
3) good steel, but easy to resharpen.
4) sub $50? Due to the amount of metal removal over time from daily resharpening or stropping?

My reccommendation would be one of those new blue g10 handle tenacious's. Blue denotes friendly, ffg will cuts well through cardboard, tough knife for the cost! Blade length may be a little intimidating.
