Looking a New EDC Folder

i work at a grocery store also. Of the 30 knives i own the tenacious cuts through cardboard better than any of them. The blade length does tend to scare some people though. So what i do is carry a large ffg blade in pocket to use when the customers and managment arent around and a wenger standard issue to use when they are around. Seems to work for me.

Just curious, what are those other 30 knives that the tenacious out-performs?

para 2, manix 2, mini grip, kershaws. etc. the tenacious has the biggest ffg blade of any other, im sure that has something to do with it.

I'd go with Olfa box cutter and the extra sharp blades.... And then buy yoursefl something nicer for personal use/EDC. Right tool the for job, the olfa lets you have a little tiny cuttin edge when thats all you need and lots for when you need that. Its a 30 second task to make it sharp again, just pop in a blade.

How much cardboard are we talking about here? I like my tenacious but I can see edge rolls after a few cuts. Maybe 30 cuts later, it just starts tearing the cardboard and it was just simply dull.

My Tenacious cuts a lot and does it really well.
I also sharpen pretty well too though.
If you keep a sweet polished edge on it the knife holds up longer from my experience.
The smooth polished edge just slices through everything.

My current EDC:
Spyderco Chokwe
Kershaw Skyline
Victorinox Old Cross Alox Electrician

I say get a Spyderco Native for around $50.
-s30v steel
-nice FRN
-beefy and ready for lots of work
-good choil
-fits the hand like a glove
-rides nicely in the pocket
-great EDC size
-isn't scary looking

All of that for $50? You can't beat it.

How much more polished does it need to be? That's a 1u finish BTW.

Lol well that's pretty polished.
I wonder why it doesn't slice like ours?

I just got my Sage 3 and I love it.
It's beautiful, works left or right handed.
Blue so it looks friendly.
Fits it the hand well.
s30v steel.
Great knife.
I'm really pleased.

Look at the Buck vantage pro. Has a better blade than just about any of the others mentioned and nice g10 handle and if you break it send it to Buck they will replace it. Not to mention get it all for about 55 bucks

Probably it slices as well as yours but just doesn't hold the edge as long as I like. ;)

Maybe I just have been spoiled by all the great steels that spyderco has made available to crazy knife nuts like me. :D
